People are positioning so hard for one or the other, but it's both. Daima may have been his final work in of his life, but it was a prequel. So by the Dragon Ball timeline, Super is the 'final' work that Akira worked on. Kind of fits, given that Super ended his vision with Gohan, and I think Daima was a way of bringing it back full circle with an homage to the OG Dragon Ball and the old Goku. Not many people get a chance to finish their life's work that way before dying. RIP to the goat, I'm glad you got your final say.
