The popular stop-motion animated series Pokémon Concierge has just announced its season 2 release for September 2025, a bit sooner than perhaps some were expecting. The series promises new Pokémon and new adventures in its second season.

The announcement comes on the heels of the first season of Pokémon Concierge releasing for free on YouTube for a limited time. The first season, which consisted of four brief episodes, debuted in December 2023 to great praise for its relaxing atmosphere and being a completely different take on the Pokémon world than other animated series in the franchise. The second season was first announced in February 2024, but since stop-motion animation can take such a long time to produce, it wasn't clear when fans could expect the second season to debut, especially since the short length of the first season was heavily commented on.

The Stop-Motion Series is Screen Testing New Models

The announcement of season 2's release date took place during the Pokémon Presents livestream which aired early on February 27, also known as "Pokémon Day." Along with the release window of September 2025, fans were treated to previews of some new Pokémon headed to the island, including Shinx, Arcanine, and Corphish. While these were simply early screen tests for the models being used in the stop-motion animation, it was still rather impressive to see these Pokémon brought to life in Pokémon Concierge's signature style. A proper trailer for season 2 is presumably still several months away.

One thing that's not clear about Pokémon Concierge season 2 is its length. With the Pokémon Company having noted that the main complaint with the series was that it was too short, season 2 could consist of more episodes than season 1 had. On the other hand, the time and expense of stop-motion animation could limit just how many episodes the production company can create in the time since the second season was announced. Hopefully, an episode count will be available as the release date draws closer, so fans have a better idea of what to expect.

Protagonist Haru's concerns are often adult problems, like finding meaning in life, while other themes such as learning to fit in and getting to know new people are applicable to a wide age range. The series' relaxing tropical atmosphere has given adult fans a chance to unwind while watching this cheery show, while children will love to see their favorite Pokémon come alive in stop-motion form.

Season 2 is expected to continue in this avenue, offering a little something to fans of all ages. Life on the island resort may be peaceful, but there's always something going on in Pokémon Concierge, and fans won't have to wait too much longer to find out what's up.
