The hotly-anticipated Minecraft Dungeons has become less of a mystery with its complete world map revealed, along with some of the areas players will encounter. The game stays true to the roots of the Minecraft franchise offering a plethora of well-known biomes reworked in a more adventurous style.

Minecraft Dungeons is going to be a classic action RPG game offer a well-established Diabloesque style of gameplay with deeper personalization and loot hunting. And unlike regular Minecraft, there won’t be any crafting or building involved.

Windows Central has shared all the existing details on the game’s environments and areas. Minecraft Dungeons has a preset world map, but there’s a solid portion of familiar random generation. While the areas and dungeons do have some handcrafted elements, the actual layout of the levels will be different for each playthrough. Confirmed areas so far include Camp, Creeper Woods, Creepy Crypt, Pumpkin Pastures, and Redstone Mines. The Сamp will serve as the central hub for players to arrange their base of operations. The further adventurers will progress in the game, the more traders and merchants will be present in the area to sell useful items. The first destination after setting the Camp will be Creepy Woods – it’s a common forest biome full of aggressive mobs.

Minecraft Dungeons Co-op Bridge Fight

Creepy Crypt is the first proper dungeon in the game where players will be able to find some valuable loot. Pumpkin Pastures will take on a less claustrophobic approach with open environments full of burnt villages. Redstone Mines would be another dungeon with deep caverns and terrifying lava rivers. Judging by the in-game world map, the aforementioned areas will be accompanied by a couple more – like swamps or temples. Pretty much every existing major Minecraft biome will make it to Minecraft Dungeons in one way or another.

For now, neither Nether nor The End has been additional content for regular Minecraft, and there’s no reason to think Minecraft Dungeons will be treated differently.
