However, as the show progressed, Sookie began to show her true colors more and more. Keep reading to find out the 10 ways Sookie got worse and worse.

She's A Perfectionist

Essentially, it's Sookie's way or the highway. Sookie has made it known throughout the series that she likes things done a certain way.

This became particularly obvious in season five when she revealed that she does the bulk of the cooking in the kitchen and only shares the tasks of making salads or desserts. While this was an endearing quirk at the beginning of the series, it quickly grew annoying.

She Dumped Rune On Lorelai

In the season one episode, "Double Date," Lorelai reluctantly agreed to go on a double date with Sookie, Jackson, and Jackson's out-of-town cousin, Rune. Lorelai solely dated Rune as a favor for Sookie so that she and Jackson could go on a date.

Of course, Sookie knew that Rune wasn't a nice guy but she encouraged Lorelai to go out with anyway. This was the first time in the series that fans got a glimpse at Sookie's selfish side.

She's A Bad Chef

Have you ever noticed Sookie taste a dish with a spoon and then put that same spoon back in the dish? Not only is she unhygienic in the kitchen, but she's also hazardous.

Sookie is always hurting herself and letting things catch on fire. She's also unorganized and has very little spacial awareness. These are not good qualities for a chef.

She's Mean To Michel

Michel - Gilmore Girls

Michel and Sookie have been rivals since the beginning of the series but Sookie definitely takes the most shots at Michel. She never misses the chance to hurl an insult his way whether it's to his face or behind his back.

While their friendship appears rocky, fans know that these two characters really care about each other at the end of the day, but that doesn't exempt Sookie for her rudeness toward Michel.

She's A Food Snob

Sookie showed her true colors in the season four episode, "The Hobbit, The Sofa and Digger Stiles." While her behavior in this episode could be blamed on her pregnancy, it was still frustrating to watch.

When Lorelai and Sookie decided to host a child's birthday party, Sookie's only job was to supply the food. Instead of making kid-friendly snacks, Sookie whipped up cuisine fit for adults. To make matters worse, she got angry with Lorelai when she rushed to fix the issue.

She's Wasn't A Good Business Partner

When Lorelai and Sookie decided to open the Dragonfly Inn together, Lorelai really needed Sookie to be completely on board as her partner. However, Sookie repeatedly let Lorelai down.

Lorelai was often left handling the bulk of the business while Sookie only concerned herself with the cooking aspects of the Inn. For instance, in season four, Lorelai relied on Sookie to sign off on the delivery of a kitchen sink but Sookie failed to even complete this small task.

She Got Frustrated With Norman Mailer

Sookie should have been thrilled that Norman Mailer was spending time in her dining room in season five. Instead, she complained incessantly about her disappointment with his endless iced tea orders.

We can only imagine that Norman Mailer's presence at Dragonfly Inn was great for business but Sookie was just too short-sighted to recognize this.

She's Insensitive To Lorelai

Fans know that Sookie really cares about Lorelai but sometimes her concern for her best friend comes off as insensitive. For example, Sookie just couldn't leave Lorelai alone about setting a date for her wedding with Luke.

It's obvious that Sookie's intentions were good but her constant interrogations were unnecessary.

She's Disrespectful To Luke

Luke never fails to drop what he's doing to help Lorelai out and often times that includes helping Sookie out as well. Throughout the series, Luke has come to Sookie's rescue on numerous occasions but Sookie was never thankful to Luke.

In fact, when Luke volunteered to take over for Sookie's chef duties when she was pregnant, she did nothing but badger him. She even went as far as to spy on him through her kitchen staff.

She Wasn't Fair To Jackson

Jackson talks to Sookie in their home.

In season seven, it was revealed that Sookie was pregnant for the third time. This news brought plenty of drama considering Jackson was supposed to have a vasectomy so that they wouldn't have any more children.

While Jackson lying to Sookie about getting the vasectomy was wrong, Sookie was also in the wrong for demanding that Jackson get the procedure done. This kind of decision definitely required a two-sided discussion instead of Sookie simply having her say.
