Wild Blue, a spiritual successor to Star Fox, has officially been announced to be in development by Humble Games. The original Star Fox, first released for the SNES in 1993, was immensely popular in its day for its revolutionary 3D graphics. It spawned six mainline sequels over the years, including the release of Star Fox 2 some 30 years late, exclusive to Nintendo's revamped SNES Classic. Star Fox - along with the titular character himself - has since become a bit of a Nintendo icon, although they've scarcely gotten any of their own releases in recent years. 2v2pj

As Tony sets off on a space adventure to restore his fortunes and help out the X-Men, Starfox will be along for the ride. How the character will be written is another question, especially after his most recent reinvention.

While the moniker was originally his codename when he was briefly an Avenger, the Eternal from Titan kept the name going forward as he adventured through space. However, the Progenitor Celestial's global judgment of Earth has motivated Eros to take a hard look at his life and legacy as the brother of the Mad Titan.

Starfox is back in the pages of Marvel Comics, and the Eternal Harry Styles portrayed in the MCU is getting a raunchy nickname that is quite inappropriate. In A.X.E.: Death of Mutants #2 by Marvel Comics, Sersi frees Starfox from exclusion from the Eternals. When he's released, the Machine, the book's narrator, refers to Eros as "space slut."

With Marvel's film, Eternals, premiering next year, the idea of Starfox, swashbuckling Eternal and brother of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ultimate villain Thanos appearing in the film is a real possibility. With stories that actor and singer, Harry Styles, will play the part, it's time to look into the dashing rogue who's the exact opposite of Thanos, and yet somehow just as dangerous.
