The long-gestating Scrubsreboot has just taken a major step forward, with original star Zach Braff now officially set to return as John “J.D.” Dorian. Speculation about a possible reboot or series continuation of the hit medical comedy had been rife for years before official confirmation that the project was in development at ABC in December 2024. While original series creator Bill Lawrence would later confirm that a writer’s room was being assembled in February this year, there was still no official confirmation of which original Scrubs cast would be returning.

Warning: This review contains spoilers for Poker Face season 2, episode 5.Charlie Cale takes on a has-been small-town baseball pitcher with a deadly fastball in a fun but predictable (and ultimately disappointing) episode of Poker Face. Poker Face season 2, episode 5, “Hometown Hero,” is the first major let-down of the season. It’s not a bad episode — it has a handful of laughs and some terrific guest stars — but it falls short of the high standard the series has set for itself.

While there's no one project to pinpoint the start of the trend, the past decade has really seen a rise in storytellers exploring the class gap through the lens of humor and drama. HBO's Big Little Lies was certainly an early example of such success, while the years since have seen everything from Peacock's The Resort to Mike White's The White Lotus follow in its footsteps. However, before these all came to be, there was Molly Smith Metzler's darkly comedic play, Elemeno Pea, which was adapted into the miniseries Sirensand almost feels a bit late to the party.

I think I've figured out Lex Luthor's ultimate endgame in James Gunn's Superman. Played by Nicholas Hoult, the DCU's Lex Luthor looks like he will be a faithful depiction of the classic DC Comics supervillain, with unbridled hatred for Superman and all. To that end, I think I have got a pretty good idea about Luthor's plans following the most recent trailer.

Survivor 48 winner Kyle Fraser may have been given the win by the season's jury in a vote of 5-2-1, but he didn't deserve the title of Sole Survivor after playing the game alongside Kamilla Karthigesu, who was robbed. Throughout Survivor 48, Kyle and Kamilla had an alliance that they kept under the radar. Moving in the entirely opposite manner of highly public duo Joe Hunter and Eva Erickson, Kyle and Kamilla had a strong alliance that kept them safe and ensured that they were making bold moves to move through the game. Kyle won the spoils of Kamilla's labors.
