With the release of The Final Shape expansion in Destiny 2, many players have been wondering what exotic gear they should try out with the new Prismatic subclass. This new subclass combines the elemental types into one, allowing for many new combinations and gameplay loops. With this new Prismatic Warlock build that utilizes the exotic gauntlets Getaway Artist, you can fill the battlefield with Arc Souls and Stasis Turrets without hardly any downtime.

One of the greatest things about the new Prismatic subclass is its flexibility. Thanks to the Artifact Mods this season, it has excellent crowd control and damage output while also having pretty strong survivability. Its abilities alone can also stun two different champion types, making it fantastic for endgame content.

Best Abilities & Aspects For Infinite Turrets

Best Suited For An Infinite Turret Build

Prismatic Warlock Subclass

While this build may rely on grenade spam, it plays nothing like Sunbracers in Destiny 2. You should begin by selecting the Storm Grenade because you won't be able to conjure an Arc Soul without consuming an Arc grenade. This is due to Getaway Artist's description: Consuming your Arc grenade grants and Arc Soul and amplifies you.

For melee, it is recommended to use Penumbral Blast, as its utility is unmatched for locking targets down. With Prismatic also having access to the Phoenix Dive class ability, I always recommend using that due to its shorter cooldown time.

You can use any Super, but use the Song of Flame Super for extra damage resistance and enhanced ability regeneration.

You should use Feed the Void for your chosen Aspects, as all your turrets are considered abilities. So, each time one of your turrets slays an enemy, you will start your Devour cycle anew. The second aspect could be selected between Bleak Watcher for the Stasis Turrets or the new aspect, Hellion, for the Solar Mortars. But because activating Transcendence on Prismatic requires doing Light and Darkness damage, I recommend using Bleak Watcher to start with this build.

Best Fragments & How To Get Them

As seen in fragments in Destiny 2 are unlocked simply by progressing through the campaign, meaning you can get started with this build while playing through the story.

The other two fragments, the Facet of Protection and the Facet of Purpose are also unlocked within the campaign, but these can be switched out for something like the Facet of Command.

Prismatic Fragment

Fragment Effect

How to Get

Facet of Courage

Your Arc, Solar, and Void abilities deal increased damage to targets afflicted with Darkness debuffs.

Unlocked in the Campaign.

Facet of Ruin

Increases the size and damage of the burst when you shatter a Stasis Crystal or frozen target and increases the area of effect of Solar Ignitions.

Unlocked in the Campaign.

Facet of Balance

Rapidly defeating targets with Light damage grants melee energy. Rapidly defeating targets with Darkness damage grants grenade energy.

Unlocked in the Campaign.

Prismatic Fragment

Fragment Effect

How to Get

Facet of Protection

While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased.

Unlocked in the Campaign.

Facet of Purpose

Picking up an Orb of Power grants either Amplified, Restoration, Frost Armor, Woven mail, or Overshield based on the damage type of your equipped Super.

Unlocked in the Campaign.

Facet of Command

Freezing or suppressing a target reloads your equipped weapons and increases weapon stability, aim assist, and airborne effectiveness. Defeating frozen or suppressed targets creates a Stasis Shard or Void Breach.

Found by completing the puzzle within the frozen section of the wall near the Ime.

Getting the Facet of Command is relatively easy but will go faster with multiple players. Load into the Ime and head towards the wall. Enter the doorway on the left side and head up the stairs until you reach the frozen area. Continue further, and you'll see a locked Prismatic chest, indicating you are in the right area for the puzzle.

Facet of Command Destiny 2

There will be a wall you can jump through to transmat in a scorch cannon, which can be used to destroy the ice blocks throughout the area for elemental charges. These charges can be deposited in the machines near the scorch cannon, completing the puzzle.

Best Gear, Stats, & Armor Mods

Getaway Artist Destiny 2

The most important part of this build is the exotic gauntlets Getaway Artist, so get one of those if you haven't acquired it yet. Target one with high discipline, as this build relies heavily on grenade regeneration.

As for the rest of your armor mods, you should prioritize restoring your grenade charge to keep the engine running and spawn as many turrets as possible.

Gear Piece

Armor Mods

Helmet

One Siphon Mod

Heavy Ammo Finder

Gauntlets

Three Impact Induction Mods

Chest Armor

Stasis/Strand Resistance

Harmonic Reserves

Leg Armor

One Absolution Mod

Two Innervation Mods

Warlock Bond

One Distribution Mod

Two Bomber Mods

As for your stats, you should focus on getting your Resilience and Discipline to 100 to maximize your damage resistance and grenade cooldown reduction. Farming for artifice armor in Master Dungeons can help round out your stats with their added artifice slots. Also, you can now unlock artifice slots in your exotic armor pieces with Exotic Ciphers, though this is mostly for deep endgame players.

Best Artifact Perks

Every Perk For an Infinite Turret Build

Hunter's Journal Destiny 2

Your first three Artifact Perks are entirely up to you, as these will dictate what anti-champion capabilities your weapons inherit. Make sure to select one weapon for each of the three champion types: Barrier, Overload, and Unstoppable. You can choose whatever Perks you want in the second and third columns, but I recommend using Elemental Siphon to generate elemental pickups.

Column 1

Column 2

Column 3

Column 4

Column 5

Anti-Barrier Pulse Rifle

Logic Reductor - Weapons with the Radiolaria Transposer origin perk damage Vex more. Extends the duration of the radiolaria pools created by Radiolaria Transposer.

Elemental Siphon - Rapid final blows with Kinetic weapons or a weapon matching your equipped Super to create an elemental pickup that matches your equipped Super.

Counter Energy - When you or a member of your fireteam stuns a champion, you gain energy for your least-charged ability.

Prismatic Transfer - When you cast Your Suoer, each member of your fireteam with a Super type different than yours gains a bonus to weapons damage.

Unstoppable Sidearm

Overcharged Armory - Weapons with the Dealer's Choice, Radiolaria Transposer, Collective Purpose, and Sundering Origins traits are always Overcharged weapons for you when that modifier is active.

Overload Sword

Blade Stamina - Rapidly defeating combatants with a Sword refunds some ammo.

Argent Blade - While you have an Armor Charge, dealing damage with a Sword consumes an Armor Charge and empowers your Sword for a short time, granting it a bonus damage and energy charge rate.

Column 2

Column 3

Column 4

Column 5

Unstoppable Scout Rifle

Authorized Mod: Elemental Charge - The energy cost of Elemental Charge mods are significantly discounted.

Creeping Chill - Stasis weapon final blows against slowed or frozen targets release a burst that slows.

Void Hegemony - While you have a Void or Prismatic subclass equipped, defeating weakened targets provides a small Void Overshield.

Expanding Abyss - Void sources deal increased damage to weakened targets.

Overload Hand Cannon

Saint's Inspiration - Rounds loaded by the Cast No Shadows origin perk can overflow the magazine.

Press the Advantage - Breaking a combatant's shield increases weapon stability, handling, and reload speed. Swords gain increased guard resistance.

Radiant Orbs - While a Solar or Prismatic subclass is equipped, picking up an Orb of Power makes you radiant.

Shieldcrush - While you have Woven Mail, Frost Armor, or a Void Overshield, your melee recharges faster and deals increased damage. While you are amplified or radiant, your grenade recharges faster, and deals increased damage.

Anti-Barrier Submachine Gun

Winning Hand—While using weapons with the Dealer's Choice origin trait, combatants' precision final blows or rapidly defeating combatants cause the target to explode, dealing Solar damage to nearby combatants.

Threaded Blast - Destroying a Tangle with a Strand weapon creates a larger and more damaging explosion.

Galvanic Armor - While you have an Arc or Prismatic subclass equipped, incoming damage from combatants is reduced while amplified.

Transference - Gain increased grenade and melee damage while transcendent. Weapon final blows while transcendent refunds Light and Dark energy after Transcendence ends.

In the fifth column, using Shieldcrush will be a massive buff, as you will gain increased grenade regeneration while amplified. This infinite grenade turret built on Prismatic Warlock will make you more than ready to take on The Witness and conclude the Light and Darkness saga in Destiny 2.
