hunting all of the different beasts, and one that stands out is all of the great armor that players can wear. Armor sets in Monster Hunter Rise have some fantastic bonuses to make any gameplay style satisfying, making either ranged or up-front battles a treat. With all of the theory crafting available, a pure set does have its advantages, although mixing and matching pieces will have a better value overall, especially during the end game.
When players start in Monster Hunter Rise, they will get some armor sets that will still play well during the end game but lack the power needed to make that journey easy. A great example of a set that can get outdated at the end is the Kamura Set or the Great Izuchi Set. Both of which are serviceable but get outshined quickly by sets such as the Alloy and Iron Sets. After beating Magnamalo, things open up on the theory crafting side more, with Sinister pieces coming to the forefront. All of this to say, each armor set has incredible benefits, but their strength lies in mixing and matching to meet different playing styles.
What Are The Best Armor Sets in Monster Hunter Rise
Getting individual pieces from different armor sets and creating a new set is one element that pulls most players to Monster Hunter Rise. The idea of building a unique set is very appealing, and the demand is more significant to do so at later stages of the game, especially when needing an upgraded set. Here are a few sets that will dominate the field with any weapon:
- Set 1: Zinogre Helm, Barioth Mail, Rathalos Braces, Spio Elytra, Golden Hakama, Demon Petalace III, Fatal Tempest Talisman
- Set 2: Zinogre Helm, Sinister Garb, Sinister Gauntlets, Spio Elytra, Sinister Greaves, Demon Petalace III, Fatal Tempest Talisman
- Set 3: Vaik Helm, Nargacuga Mail, Sinister Gauntlets, Spio Elytra, Ingot Greaves, Demon Petalace III, Fatal Tempest Talisman
The first two sets are focused more on physical damage, while the third set is more of a distance set. The Vaik Helm has Ammo Up to help range characters, but the Channeler's Hair-Tie is a wonderful replacement because of its Spare Shot skill. The Spio Elytra is an excellent overall equipment piece due to its Weakness Exploit skill that can significantly edge during fights for any build. A few other armor pieces that can be mixed and matched with the sets are the Ingot Greaves. The Ingot Greaves has an excellent Attack Boost and Critical Eye skill guaranteed to raise damage numbers. Even the lowly Izuchi Coil can have benefits here with the Critical Eye Skill. It isn't easy to pinpoint one set that will utterly dominate, although the bases are here with options to deviate aplenty.
